Magician Jeff Quinn to kick off Summer Reading adventures

First Picnic in the Park to be held Wednesday, May 22

Adventures will begin at the Mary Cotton Public Library Park at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, as magician Jeff Quinn kicks off the summer reading program.

Quinn has been a full-time professional magician for almost 30 years and has performed all across the country as well as in England, Central America and Australia. He has won numerous awards and competitions including the North American Children's Magician competition in 2016. Also in 2016, Jeff became the 100th President of the Society of American Magicians (Houdini was No. 11).

Quinn’s Summer Reading Program Library Show is designed to fit in with the "Adventure" theme that many libraries are using this summer. The 40-45 minute show will include lots of audience participation, family-friendly humor and magic designed to entertain all ages.

In an average year, Jeff performs between 350-400 shows for audiences across the Midwest and beyond. He lives in a suburb of Omaha with his wife and socially-inept Chihuahua.
