THE FRIENDS MISSION STATEMENT

 The Friends of the Mary Cotton Public Library do for the library what individual friends do for one another; they come forth with ideas, time, advice, effort, encouragement, and financial support.

About

The Friends is a local, 501(c)(3) nonprofit that exists to support the library's role in and service to the community.

Membership

Be a part of new initiatives to enhance your local library and support a valuable community resource that serves all ages.

The Board 

A volunteer, yearly-elected Board of Directors is the governing body for the Friends and is responsible for fulfilling the group's mission.

WHAT IS THE FRIENDS?
Founded in 2003 by local community members, the Friends of the Mary Cotton Public Library is an independent, 501(c)(3) 
community non-profit that exists to:
 
  • build community support for the library
  • to enhance the image, materials, services and facilities of the library by undertaking projects on its behalf
  • to create public awareness of the Friends
  • encourage participation in the Friends group by individuals, groups and businesses
